The challenge

After a long period of stability at SMT level, the Trust needed to replace an extremely experienced member of the team who was also a recognised expert in the MS field. At the same time the Trust recognised the need for more effective communications generally as well as the need for extending the use of digital channels to disseminate information to medical professionals and people living with the effects of the condition.

The solution

NFP conducted the search and selection exercise. After the first attempt, we re-presented the role and used our knowledge of potential prospects to approach people whom we were confident would meet the needs of the role.  This led to a successful appointment for the charity.

The outcome

The expertise and capacity provided by NFP ensured that the Trust was able to conduct a thorough in-depth engagement with potential prospects across the NHS, voluntary and private sectors. Following the initial engagement with the Trust, NFP has maintained an ongoing partnership with the charity and helped it recruit to a series of new roles as it has broadened and expanded its operations; these have included training as well as other core back-office functions. NFP has also recruited a new Chair of Trustees.
