Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark
c£60,000 plus benefits
London, Lambeth North
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark covers the geographical area of the whole of London south of the Thames, all of Kent and the eastern parts of Surrey. We have 180 parishes and 170 schools, all of whom have an impact on our Safeguarding function.
Safeguarding within the Diocese is focused in 3 main areas:
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) administration
The function processes DBS applications for all clergy, foundation governors and employees and volunteers who require it for their role and for aligned Religious Orders.
Following an independent review of the service, an improvement plan has been devised to ensure that the function delivers efficient services that reflect recommended best practice, providing confidence to the Trustees that duties are being discharged effectively.
As Head of Safeguarding you will assist in implementing the changes identified in the review to achieve the improvement of service overall.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (No. 1173050) and is run by a Board of Trustees, who are responsible for determining the strategic direction of the Archdiocese.
