Independence at Home
Part time (30 hours per week)
£50,000 - £55,000 pro rata
Independence at Home is a small but positively thriving UK charity making grants to people with a disability or long-term illness who are in financial need. The grants go towards the purchase of specialist mobility and disability equipment, home adaptations and essential household goods to improve independence, enhance quality of life at home and reduce isolation.
Due to retirement of the current incumbent we are seeking a new Chief Executive who is innovative, entrepreneurial and used to working in complex and ever changing environments. Your remit will cover all the usual that you might expect within a small charity such as leading and managing the team, making strategic and operational decisions, and representing the charity at the highest levels externally e.g. to key stakeholders and major donors.
Not only will the successful candidate bring senior management experience but you are also likely to have sound knowledge and experience of the disability, NHS and/or health and social care landscape having worked within the public, charity or wider not for profit sectors as you will be working within a complex fundraising and grant giving setting.
