Since 2013 Migdal Emunah has provided a support service for Jewish victims of sexual abuse and their families. In addition, the charity actively engages in raising awareness of Sexual Abuse and challenging the myths and taboos surrounding abuse.
Migdal Emunah is an organisation defined by passion, empathy, dedication, creativity and hope, which characterises all aspects of our work with the victims and survivors of sexual abuse within the UK Jewish community.
We work across all denominations of the Jewish Community to offer individually tailored service that includes access to impartial therapeutic, legal and rabbinical support. Being a voluntary organisation enables us to work independently but in partnership with statutory agencies.
Migdal Emunah may be a small charity but we have established the foundations that can support our ambitions for growth and for achieving greater impact.
Recent years have seen high profile campaigns that have raised awareness of the prevalence of sexual abuse across all communities and the impact it has on victims and survivors. Over the course of the pandemic we have witnessed a greater demand for our services, which has enabled us to increase our funding but there is so much more that we can and need to do.
The trustees are now seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead the next phase of the charitys development.
The new Chief Executive will lead the development and implementation of our organisational strategy, in conjunction with the Trustees: to position Migdal Emunah as the preeminent provider and advocate for the support of victims and survivors of sexual abuse in the UK Jewish community.
Underpinning this strategy is the need to develop and maintain a sustainable mix of voluntary and commissioned income streams.
