Director of Income Generation and Marketing
East Lancashire Hospice is a registered charity, founded in 1984. We support and care for patients with life limiting illnesses, their families and others close to them across our community of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.
In 2008, the hospice became independent and since then, we have grown significantly to include a wide range of services classed as "Outstanding" by the Care Quality Commission.
Our vision is to help everyone who comes into contact with the hospice to make the most of life. We are looking for a leader who is committed to this vision, alongside our mission and values: to care, listen, respect and work together to support people to live well until they die and support those affected by death.
The hospice is a unique and special organisation where kindness and compassion are qualities that run throughout.
The income that we generate each year from our wonderful supporters in the community we serve and from commissioners of our services is what makes our work possible.
This is a critical appointment for the hospice and leads on the development and implementation of a comprehensive and effective income generation strategy for significant long-term growth of income, increased profile and supporter engagement.
To be our next Director of Income Generation and Marketing you will bring relevant senior management experience coupled with a creative commercial approach to income generation tailored to the a variety of target markets, audiences and stakeholders.
Experience of generating voluntary fundraising income alongside commercially traded products and services would be helpful with the knowledge that this would bring for the current trends in giving and the regulatory framework for charity income generation activity.
