This is a chance for a fundraiser with multi-income stream experience to take on a role leading a department that is in a very healthy state (and growing) at a well-known national charity.
This role combines hands-on fundraising with strategy and leads a department of 7 (3 corporate fundraising, 1 major donors, 3 trusts) and an (on target for this year) income budget of £2m.
The role reports into an excellent director who gives his team autonomy and provides knowledgeable support when its needed.
Why this is an excellent role:
The current post-holder has been in post 3 years and leaves the role in a good place, both financially and in terms of staff, so this IS NOT a firefighting but instead a development situation.
Trustees are on-board with fundraising and they, along with key high-level Vice Presidents are actively involved with, particularly the major donor strategy with events already confirmed in the coming year.
The cause is popular, emotive and has solid cases for support that appeal to all three types of supporters that this team focus on
There are solid processes in place to be used and developed by the incoming post-holder
To apply you will need:
Experience of at least one of major donor, trust or corporate fundraising
Experience of and willingness to develop relationships with key supporters including directly making the ask for support
Be willing to present both to groups and face to face on behalf of the charity
Great leadership skills
