Community Partnership Development Manager
Independent Age is a national charity founded over 150 years ago with a clear mission to ensure that as we grow older, we all have the opportunity to live well with dignity, choice and purpose.
We achieve this by providing free impartial information and advice on the issues that matter most as we grow older, and work within communities to connect people, places and services to reduce isolation and loneliness.
Our network of four Community Partnership Development Managers have a key role to play in evolving our work to development partnerships with community-based organisations who are best placed to connect with, and support, older people. It is only by listening to communities can services be developed on the basis of what works best out in the real world that people experience can services be developed in response to actual need and in ways that people want.
Creativity, empowerment, authentic, people centred, listening and asset based working - these are all the characteristics that make dynamic community development possible and this what we are committed to achieve for older people in Nottingham.
Your background in community partnership development could be from a range of contexts but what is of fundamental importance is that you have the understanding of the values and principles that underpin, and can lead to, genuine partnership.
