Head of Community and Events
Full time, permanent role
Hybrid working model where teams work remotely and come into the London based office as required
£45,000
This is a re-imagined role.
Target Ovarian Cancer is the authority on ovarian cancer. We work with women, family members and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for those living and working with ovarian cancer.
Together with the ovarian cancer community, we are transforming the future for women in the UK who are living with ovarian cancer and thousands more who are yet to be diagnosed. We are ambitious, building on our achievements and investing in our future. There is so much more to do. We will not stop until we have achieved our goal of doubling survival from ovarian cancer by 2050.
Your remit will be to contribute to the wider fundraising department leadership team alongside delivering a strategic approach to our community and events funding streams. You will be joining us at a busy time with (March being Ovarian Cancer Awareness month), as our brand is growing, our supporter base is growing, and we are growing!
You will have responsibility for £1.5m income, £200,000 direct spend and six team members - this is a big role which will give the successful candidate a wonderful opportunity to make a great impact; the potential to develop the portfolio as our brand continues to grow is just huge.
The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrable track record of community and events fundraising, strategic planning, recruiting, managing and developing staff, and budgetary management, ideally gained within the charity, corporate or events arena.
You will be joining a professional hard working and ambitious team who are passionate about this single issue because; they know why they are there and work tirelessly to help and support those affected by this cancer.
