Director of People and OD
Together for Mental Wellbeing
£85,000
Full-time, permanent
London and remote
Together for Mental Wellbeing is the UK's oldest mental health charity. Since 1879, we have believed that people experiencing mental distress have the right to live the life they choose and determine their own future.
We offer a wide variety of support services and the people we work alongside are at the heart of everything we do. We currently work with around 5,000 adults every month via 70 projects throughout England, but we aspire to reach many more people through our five year strategy.
We are excited about our future, and through the fantastic commitment and dedication of everyone who works at Together, we will achieve our vision of continuing to be a recognized charity leader in its field delivering high quality mental health, wellbeing and support services.
Our workforce of staff, peer supporters and volunteers are critical to the success of delivering our organisational strategy.
This role will drive the development of our organisational culture and ensuring the delivery of high quality, person-centred services through the leadership of the Human Resources functions, the Total Reward offer to our workforce and volunteers and providing executive assurance to our trustees.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People & Organisational Development will have a critical lead responsibility for ensuring that service users and people with lived experience of mental distress are involved at every level of the organisation. This includes executive support of the National Service User Steering Group, ensuring their skills, personal experience and knowledge is effectively implemented through the workforce and their views effectively represented to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.
How to Apply
Application is by way of CV and a Supporting Statement, which should clearly set out how you meet each of the criteria set out in the person specification. You should provide evidence in your statement; and not simply a broad claim to have done it - give us examples and dimensions; tell us what this achieved and how it helped meet your organisations goals.
For an informal conversation about the role, please contact our recruitment partner, Simon Lloyd, Director, NFP Consulting on 07961 988 523 or email simon.lloyd@nfpconsulting.co.uk
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
