The challenge

Shelter’s new Director of Fundraising reconfigured the directorate to establish a new senior management team. Its role would be to lead on the traditional income streams as well as embrace and maximise the new opportunities afforded by digital.

The solution

Shelter asked NFP to work with it to recruit this new team. NFP combined deep understanding of the technical requirements of each of the roles with an insight into the working culture of the charity and the particular ambitions and expectations of the director. This enabled us to assess candidates’ suitability for all requirements of the roles.

The outcome

NFP was successful in securing appointments to all the senior management roles within the new structure and we achieved this in open competition with other providers, in line with Shelter’s corporate policy. NFP has worked with Shelter on a number of recruitment assignments over the past few years.
