Head of Fundraising
£45,000 - £50,000 pro rata
Part time (32 hours pw)
South West London
St Michael's Fellowship exists to give children and their families the best chance in life. It believes that no child should be at a disadvantage because of the circumstances of their birth.
We work directly with more than 250 vulnerable families every year. The services and programmes we provide are at the heart of St Michael's Fellowship: we aim to break intergenerational cycles of poverty and underachievement so that children may be healthy, confident and financially independent adults.
We are a local charity but our work with children and families has national influence through partnerships with universities and other charities. We work holistically offering parents practical, therapeutic and emotional support tailored to their individual needs, and taking account of their changing circumstances. There is no 'one size fits all'.
We are looking for a new Head of Fundraising following the departure of our current Head after a tenure of seven years. After a somewhat tough year as a result of covid we are looking forward to 2022 as we already have a few opportunities in the pipeline including 25 spaces for the October Marathon. We have established relationships with key trusts and foundations but there is scope to build new relationships.
Reporting directly to the CEO and line managing one member of staff your remit will be to devise and implement a fundraising strategy and to secure both restricted and unrestricted funds from new and existing sources of incomes. Your experience is likely to include trusts and foundations but if you also have experience in major donors, events, statutory, lottery or corporate fundraising, we would also be pleased to hear from you as we are seeking to diversify our income sources.
How to apply
Application is by way of a CV and a Supporting Statement of no more than 2 sides of A4 which highlights your motivations for applying and how your experience and knowledge fit the criteria of the Person Specification.
